Whittled Whimsey #5 was carved with pocket knife from an old Ash baseball bat, with an antique tavern beer tap added whimsically. No particular theme was followed other than to carve a working lock at the head of the bat, and wind up an interesting journey with a hasp at the handle end.

Drumm whittled yet another lock design, attached by chain links to a head whose nose is the pullable beer tap.

The body under the head is a six-bar round cage with three more round cages within (four cages total), which is connected by chain links to another head-like shape with insert that pulls out and has hinged visor.

This in turn, is chain-linked to the tapering haft of a bat that has a bell-like cage on six chain links with a six-pronged object inside the cage.

Four chain links attach to the next four-barred cage, which has a four-geared object inside.

Three links then lead to a spiral-shaped gear-like shape, which is attached by five links to the figure-eight hasp, which ended the interesting whittler's journey. Six sections are counted, connected by chain links.
